This is our fifth harness for our now 8-month-old baby German Shepherd, if there is such a monster. We love our dog. We want him save. We travel a lot and my wife was adamant about having a harness clip between the shoulder blades that would click into the seat belt attachment so he could roam about the back seat freely and be able to look out the window and not feel like he was going to jump out.With that being said he's a German Shepherd and I didn't want him to misrepresent canines by being a black German Shepherd with a police looking harness cuz that's not what we want to represent. So I was looking for somewhere in the middle on this purchase. We started out but the Mickey mouse little straps and that lasted less than a day cuz our dog made an hors d'oeuvre out of it. They must have dipped it in bacon cuz he chewed on it without any consideration for it being a harness. My personal opinion is he didn't like the way he looked in it. The next harness we tried twice and it was more of the canvas canine looking strapped in harness. A no BS harness. It had the triangular metal clip between the shoulder blades on top of the harness, plus an added feature is the handle which is good for holding him back from vicious Chihuahuas and other tiny little monster dogs.Now this harness. Having experienced all of the things with previous harnesses we stepped up to a more expensive better built high quality harness. They came in a multitude of colors but we wanted to be neutral didn't want camo or black to misrepresent canines so we went with gray.The belly clips and how they click in are most important and on this unit you have four. They give you lots of strap to get the adjustment perfect for the size and weight of your dog. This will be especially a plus as our dog continues to grow there is plenty of strap to let out but still keep it very very firm against his body. The next strap which is critical clicks in and it takes a little bit to get it over his head which is a really good thing. The last unit we had was horrible because he could pull away on the leash and slip right out of the harness. We were on a walk we made a turn he didn't want to go and then the harness came off? This unit we have now is very snug and it does not move about. You have total control of the dog but the dog doesn't feel overly confined.It's extremely well-built and made and it will last a long time. I also like the fact that you don't have to unclick every damn snap in order to get it off of him which means you're going to have to get him to hold still while you put 10 clips on him. Ours is a German Shepherd and he's very impatient.I recommend this harness for those of you that are looking for something that is substantial beyond looks and fads. There's a lot of stuff out there that looks really great but it's just not practical. These folks here from ice fang, just repeating the name folks, I've done an excellent job and they have my full support.It has then me 4 returns on tactical dog harnesses to find this one. Yes it's alittle more $, but u r getting what u pay for! It's strong, tough, all clips r strong, even the plastic ones! Alot of velcro area for patches, sturdy-strong handle! Just a great quality and look. Will add warmth for winter as it's big-long, per as I wanted! ITS THE BOMB PEOPLE, HIGHEST RECOMDATION!!!!Adjusted great 5 mins and it was on them snug as a bug. They dont care if its on them they actually sit down and let md put it on them after tbe third time wearing it. Going to pit camera wjth velcro and use it this fall filming some hunting pheasants. For now I just tell people who ask why they have it on, "They are taking parachute traing class" Nice quality item, for the money a gem of a item.Made very well. It's sturdy and durable. The straps are easily adjustable and tuck into place so you don't have any hanging bits!I usually don’t write reviews, however, I feel I must regarding this harness! After looking at so many different styles and manufacturers and reading so many reviews I think I have found the perfect one! It’s only been a few days so I will update if I have any issues in the future. We have a large 80+ lb Goldendoodle who likes to drag us while on a leash. His last harness ripped. It was tricky getting it on him and adjusted properly and another review had mentioned the 2 metal shoulder latches squeak when the dog walks which is true. However, that doesn’t bother me considering how well the rest is and knowing he is safe in this. Hooking his leash to the front d-ring does keep him from having the ability to drag me down our hill. I love the handle to pull him closer when another person or pet walks by as he is extremely protective of his humans. I haven’t had any issues with it self tightening or loosening yet. The first time I took it off he ran to me and wanted it back on! It is heavy and sturdy but for him that is a plus as he is only a year old with lots of energy to burn. I also ordered the leash to go with it and it is hands down the best leash I have purchased. The handle on the leash keeps him next to me while walking instead of in front or behind me so I recommend spending the extra to get it also. I do take it off of him at night since it is so heavy and stiff. After making the first sizing adjustments it’s pretty easy to take on and off. I also liked the fact that I had plenty of space to put the excess straps instead of cutting them. He’s still got some growing to do so didn’t want to have to purchase a new harness as the large fits perfectly with a lot of room to grow yet.Can’t wait to try it as soon as it warms up on a hike once our Molle bags come in so he can carry his own hiking necessities!This harness for our german shepard approx. 85lb female. She wears it all day and at night after the last walk we take it off and put it back on her in the morning when we take her out for her morning walk. No problems with any of the clips or fastners no issues what so ever with this harness and i can tell and maybe you can too in this photo she does not seem to mind its on. Good padding where its needed. We have had this harness over a year with zero issues. I would recommend this harness for any dog and i even bought one for my father in laws dog.I have had several tactical “durable” harnesses and this one by far takes first in every possible way. The quality and care put into making each vest you can tell it is going to hold up for a long time and be comfortable for your service animal would highly recommended!Good harnessThis is the fourth one of these harnesses I have purchased. Only because my pups out grew smaller sizes.They are comfortable, durable, reliable, wash in the washer and hang to dry, easy to adjust and you can purchase add one for service dogs. Wash at night hang and dry in the morning.I have recommended this harness to so many people who ask as they walk by with their dog, at training, the vet and the dog park.If they get dirty they clips undo easily and harness drops to the floor.I have a one year old lab and an 8 month old lab that play, run and train hard and the harness as proven to be indestructible as well as comfortable! It took a while to get the staps sized up properly but after doing so I haven't had any issues. Easy to put on once its sized. Durable but flexible enough so my dog can move freely.J'adore en tous points, et ce, même si les attaches en métal "grincent" un peu. J'ai mis un peu de vaseline et ça semble être moins pire. Strong enough to survive his off leash adventures in the bush. One issue with the front metal buckles-they squeak. Loudly. Could be the way it fits on his chest as he is more narrow than most huskies. Highly recommend this harness
